Bill is a dedicated American and Lt. Col. United States Army retired. Bill served in Vietnam and knows what it is like to lead a combat company into battle. That background and understanding of Veterans focused on Bill's efforts to help Veterans and those that love and support them. Bill is our "Point Man"!
Steven G. Deaton was born in California on Veterans Day, 1950. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from California State University, Chico.
His professional career includes police work with the City of Ashland Police Department and the Portland Police Bureau, City of Portland, Oregon. He is currently a State of Oregon Private Investigator.
Steves aviation career began with the US Army. His service includes tours as a combat helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War, a combat surveillance pilot in Korea, and as an Aircraft Commander of a utility transportation airplane in Operation Desert Storm. Steve served as an Army Aviator for 28 years before retiring at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4 in 1998.
Still the flyer, Steve has logged in excess of 20,000 flight hours on a global scale and in a wide variety of aircraft and circumstances. He has flown military, corporate, commercial, and freight operations; in desert hot, Alaska cold, to tropical humid and transoceanic and intercontinental environments. He is also a writer, a great husband and for me, a great friend!
Pat is a former IRS auditor and Licensed Enrolled Agent. He is an authorized tax practitioner empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers at all levels of the Internal Revenue Service. Pat is also licensed by the Oregon State Board of Tax Practitioners as a Licensed Tax Consultant, LTC # 31918.
Stephanie Johnson-Klug has spent nearly five decades in education as a teacher, counselor, and principal in elementary, secondary, and charter schools. In 2004, Steph led Washington Elementary School on to National Blue Ribbon status. With the firm belief that the only way out of poverty is education, Stephanie became a founding board member Gordon Elwood Foundation and Kids Unlimited of Oregon and is a member of the Latgwa Chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the Medford Rogue Rotary. Steph has been my true North in everything. Steph keeps the pathway clear and the goals defined for me.
Pat said "The answer is yes" before I even finished asking for his keen legal guidance and efforts on behalf of AHN. Pat and I have known each other since the early '80s. Pat lives his life in service to Veterans and the downtrodden. When right and wrong are at odds, Pat is the one to have in your corner. Besides that, Pat is a lot of fun too!
Mary is multi-talented and with a resume that will amaze all. Mary is a true patriot and supports Veterans as well as their families and loved ones. Mary was more than ready as well as able to create the "New Look" for American Heroes Network. We are most thankful to Mary for all her efforts in the web transition.
Michael D. Davis is a US Army Combat Photographer Veteran, (84 Bravo), who has spent the greater part of his life as a practitioner and mentor in the creative art of visual communication. He is also a writer and keen observer of the ever changing social environment and its effects on thought and behavior. Michael is committed to the idea that each of us must find our unique ‘Smile’ if we are to achieve meaningful fulfillment in life. His personal ‘Smile’ is helping individuals and organizations find dynamic opportunities to achieve success through discovering the value in applying their, passion, resources and skills in a socially responsible way.
